At the time of this post, you can buy about 20 Sunfury Signets (500 rep) for the price of 1 Arcane Tome (350 rep). As the market changes, tomes may become more cost-effective, but you shouldn't pay more for a tome than 14x the going rate of a signet, if all you want is rep.
